Day 1

I just started this project and I’m already posting a day late. Oops!

Piano Fingers

This photo was taken using f/5.4, 1/80, ISO-320, 42mm focal length and 0 step exposure. I used an external flash to stop her fingers in motion. I like how the edges are a little darker giving a more dramatic illusion. I did some post photo editing in my computer, just to amp up the contrast.

I have to admit, I was having a heck of a time last night with settings. I first started out not using a flash at all and that just gave me ghostly fingers (still a pretty cool effect) but not what I wanted. I kept trying to change the shutter speed but it’s still a bit confusing for me.

I’m going to keep working on it and will be back later with Day 2!

See you on the other side of the lens.
