It only took 31 days to get 10 days of photos. Not bad! 🙂
I just received my Nikon D3200 and went down to the Sheridan Boat Launch last week to test it out. I don’t know why I keep practicing in the evening when the light is waning and it’s harder to get a good shot. I know I should get shooting in normal light down first, but I’m drawn to the colors of the sky and all the birds down by the water. Plus I work all day and obviously can’t skip work to take photos.
This is a shot I took of 3 seagulls flying across the sky above the water. I think for my first silhouette, it’s not too bad. I love how the middle seagull is the only one with wings down – shows good movement between the three of them
I did minor post process editing, only sharpening it up a bit and making the sky a bit bluer. Focal length 300mm, f/5.6, 1/1,250.
See you on the other side of the lens.
